                 PUMPKIN CAKE




Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg

  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree

  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)











Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.

  3. In a large bowl, beat the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil together until well combined. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the pumpkin puree.

  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Stir in the chopped nuts, if using.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.
